Canadian Western Bank to Partner with Alberta Tennis Centre

September 5, 2017. Calgary, AB. The Canadian Western Bank has signed on to be the presenting sponsor of the Canadian Western Bank School Tennis program at the Alberta Tennis Centre.

On July 31, 2017 the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre signed a contract with the Canadian Western Bank, headquartered in Edmonton, AB, that will subsidize school programs for Calgary youth. Canadian Western Bank has committed to $25,000 for the 2017 – 2018 school year.

This donation will allow schools to bring their physical education classes into the Alberta Tennis Centre which will benefit the school, the educators and most importantly, the students. The Alberta Tennis Centre believes that active children make for happy, well rounded children. Participation in the Canadian Western Bank School Tennis program will help introduce children to a sport they can play their whole life, learn team building skills and develop fundamental movement skills.

The Canadian Western Bank’s commitment to the communities they serve is evident with this contract extension. In its first year, the Canadian Western Bank School Tennis program made tennis education accessible to 4,400 children throughout Calgary. Danny Da Costa, General Manager of the Alberta Tennis Centre is excited for the potential impact that will be made in the lives of thousands of Calgary children because of the generosity of the Canadian Western Bank.

A not-for-profit organization, the Alberta Tennis Centre welcomes the local community with year-round access to tennis in Calgary, supporting their vision of becoming the best community-based Tennis Development Centre in Canada.
